Thank you for all your help with these awesome old guns. I found this board by accident and am glad I did.

I had shown these pictures in another post, I'd like to see if anyone can shed some more light on identifying these marks on the bottom of the barrel. Or just more than its an 1858 navy, This pistol is in full working condition and all the numbers match. I think the date of manufacture is 1863.

these are the best photos I can upload to this website. I really appreciate all the information you have given me. These old guns are one of the things I have wanted since I was a kid. And now that I have them, this information helps me greatly!

I have a navy 1858 .36 cal with a strange stamping on the bottom of the barrel after the serial number. I have looked in Ware's book about it but I'm not seeing any information. See what you think of it. Picture attached.

If it is an Army model - 44cal, then it is a Beals Army Model and was made in Oct of 1862. If it is a Navy Model - 36 cal, then it is a Beals Navy Model, and...

I have another new model serial # 112135, .44 cal full size also. I don't know why information about these things is so hard to find. I appreciate the help!

Thank you for the information! It is full size, .44 caliber all matching serial numbers. Army model, has 2 threaded holes in the grip frame, one low to mid of the backstrap and another on the bottom. Buttstock attachment points? It's in excellent mechanical condition, perfect bores.
