Thank you very much.. proves gun does not match the holster,if John Cameron died December 1 1864 and the gun was manufactured in 12/1864. Thanks again for the information.

I have a 1858 New Model sn 121723 the holster that came with it ,has the name J. Cameron A Co. 25th N.Y.V.C. It is very faint to see but it is there. John Cameron was captured and sent to Salisbury NC 1864 and died as a prisoner of war in December of 1864. I’m trying to find out if the gun was made ...
