Well, time to try it out at the range! I ended up buying all of them from my relative. They were my wife's uncle's grandfather's guns originally. Might as well keep them in the family for a while longer.

It looks like these rifles did not have scope mounts so someone must have drilled and tapped this to install the dovetails. How much does that hurt the value? If someone did that on a military rifle it would absolutely destroy the collector value.

So I guess this is January 1938 manufacture?
