I've an awesome Model 25 with s/n 212xx, and I cannot for the life of me find a date code anyplace on the rifle.
I've looked it up and down, receiver and barrel with a magnifier.
I'd like to know the year of manufacture.
Help!

I've a 510 code ARR, around 1946. It is in excellent condition, even the barrel.
It belonged to my neighbor who bought it new as a young man, apparently right out of high school as he would have been 18 that year.

I've a model 25 mfg July 1929 I picked up at a Phoenix gun show a couple of years ago, just got around to shooting it. It has some blue (well what blue it has is rust colored, but not rust) and I paid too much for it, around $625 down from $750 or so.
