Re: Bulge in Damascus 1894 barrel.

Tough decision. Bulges are not hard to repair by an EXPERT. Pressures are very low at the muzzle. BUT if it bulges more, there is a risk of fracture http://pic20.picturetrail.com:80/VOL1373/6511424/17546456/404522250.jpg I'd probably leave it alone. You are aware that there are commercial 12g Smokel...

Re: Michigan resources for Model 1882 SXS high grade 12 GA

ANY attempt at a clean-up, done wrong, will substantially diminish the value and collectability of the gun. Simply wipe down the metal parts with RemOil at this point. Bachelder in Grand Rapids could give you an idea as to the cost of a check and clean vs. a full restoration, and then do the work. ...

The Remington "Cubs" Series

There were (at least) two variants of the "Cubs" advertising series about 1912-1917; one by Lynn Bogue Hunt, who provided cover illustrations for Boys' Life, Field & Stream and other sporting magazines, and advertising illustrations for Remington-U.M.C., Winchester, DuPont and others This was in "Ou...
