Re: model 660 .222

I’d be very unhappy with that stock.

The corrosion is the result of hunting in rain or snow and not taking the gun apart to dry at the end of the day. Don’t ask me how I know this.

I’d bet pretty heavily that it wouldn’t work.

Re: Nickel

Pics Model 1889. Grade 2 gun, serialized in 1900. Hammers and trigger bow have not been polished/plated. Wear and chipping look similar to finish on some full nickel and nickel trimmings Winchester guns that I have had the opportunity to examine first hand over the years. May be wrong but in the fir...

Re: Model 14 Saddle Ring Carbines

Jim,
Appreciate the info.
Is the retaining pin readily visible? Do you have a pic of a src that illustrates what the retaining pin looks like and/or where it’s located. If not, could you describe the retaining pin and its’ location.

Model 14 Saddle Ring Carbines

Just wondering what the experts think of M14 SRC’s, legitimate or not? Over the years I’ve seen a few, but at times there seems to be some variation(s) of where they are mounted on the receiver. As I recall, some have a screw in stud similar to that found on Winchester Model 1894’s and others have a...
