Need Date of Manufacture Model 700 Custom Shop Rifle
About 5 years ago, I purchased a Custom Shop Left Hand 270 off of Guns International. The seller bought it at an Estate Sale and did not have any information on the date of Manufacture. The Serial Number is B6369316.
Can anyone please give me an approximate date of Manufacture?

Re: Remington 700 information
If your rifle has a barrel code, it would be on the opposite side of the barrel from when your serial number is. If your rifle does not have a barrel, it could have been made in the Remington Custom shop. Please provide a picture of the rifle for more assistance.

Re: Remington 700 information
It would help me help you if you provided the two letter barrel code found on the side of the barrel. That information along with the serial number you provided should give us the answer. Do you know what model 700 it is?

Hornady Custom Lite Rifle ammo
I recently purchased a Remington 700 in the 7mm Mag caliber. The rifle was made in the Remington Custom Shop in 1994 and it came with all of the original documentation and had not been fired. I have been on the look out for a 7X57 but could not find what I was looking for. After receiving the rifle,...

1994 Remington Catalog
I just purchased a Remington 700 that was produced in the Remington Custom Shop in 1994. Does anyone have one of the Remington 1994 Catalogs and if so does it have a separate section on the Custom Shop guns? I have a one that was from 1983 catalog that had a order sheet on the Custom Shop offerings ...

Re: Grandfather old Fieldmaster 121
Thank you so very much for your quick reply. My Grandfather retired in the early 50s after spending 30 years in Mexico working for the Gulf Oil Company. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. His choice of rifles were the old semi-auto Remington's in 25 and 30 calibers. He gifted me th...

Grandfather old Fieldmaster 121
Many years ago, my Grandfather gifted me his Fieldmaster 121. The last 4 digits of the serial number are 9700 and I believe that the first number is a 6. The barrel code is AXX. Can anyone tell me the year of manufacture? In his later years, he had a 4X Lyman All weather scope installed on it. It ap...

Does Mr. Lacy's in his book on the 700s mention anything about what checkering options were available from the Remington Custom Shop?

Custom Shop 30-06
Am trying to assist the manager of a local gun shop with getting information on a 30-06 that was made in the Remington Custom Shop. I do not see any barrel codes and the Serial number is A6366462. From previous post, I learned that if a gun was made specifically for someone that it most likely would...

Re: John Lacy's The Remington 700 History/Manual
Thanks for responding to my post. I recently purchased a Remington 700 (270) that was produced in the Remington Custom shop in 1983. The gun is still in perfect condition. Great wood. I purchased the gun from a person that bought it at an estate sale. No paperwork provided. I happen to have a 1984 R...
