Hi Rick,

Did you ever do any thing with the two vest pocket pistols?

Re: circa 1860-70 Derringer

Heather, You asked if anyone had a specific story about a gambler and his .41cal Deringer. Well, on January 8, 1877 Doc Holliday was arrested on two counts of gambling in Dallas, Texas. At that time a .41cal double-barreled Derringer was found in his vest pocket. In Gary Roberts book, Doc Holliday, ...

Can anyone give me a ballpark value on a set of Mother-of-Pearl grips in excellent condition for a Type II (Model No. 3) Deringer?

Re: Remington Type II Model No. 3 Double Derringer

David, You stated, "It helps to have the full barrel top but I've never seen a short line go that close to the hinge so it's not a "short-line" and a batch no.", so I've attached another photo. Does this help? http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f12/LonEagle/RemingtonTop.jpg Thank ...

Re: Remington Type II Model No. 3 Double Derringer

Charlie,

You stated, " This number should match a number on the grip frame under the grip."

Yes it does, under the left grip and stamped on the frame is the same number.

Thank you for helping,

Luke

Remington Type II Model No. 3 Double Derringer

This Remington Double Derringer has a nickel finish (98%), single line markings with hard rubber grips and the number " 46 " stamped on the underside of the bottom barrel. Would this stamped number be the serial number :?: http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f12/LonEagle/REmington41CalDering...
