Thanks again, I am very appreciative with you taking the time to share this information with me. I did measure the receiver in 2 different areas, in does measures 1.312 - 1.313 in both places. So this gives me something new to think about, “Baby Carbine”

Well, once again thank you for the information, I find it all very interesting. I am attaching a picture of the tang, containing the patent information. From what I have read, doesn’t the “Remington Arms Company” indicate that this type 2 carbine would have been made after the bankruptcy in 1886-188...

Hi, first time posting, I recently purchased a no. 2 RB ser# 38xxx, Remington Arms Co. Ilion NY USA. Bottom of barrel stamped 25-25, I have not done a chamber cast, guessing it is a 25-25 Stevens, cannot find anything on the 25-25 RB on the net. Anyone know of any other #2s in this caliber. Any help...
