I have a 512 with what looks like “A S S L” on left in front of receiver. Can someone tell me the year of manufacture?

I have learned about fire-forming cases in the 7 mm RB, and then read to only neck-size after that. My question is: How do you remove the spent primer from a fired case without running it all the way down the sizing die, thus reforming the shoulder to the standard 7x57 dimensions?
