Re: Dating Remington Shot Shell Box

Not exactly but I would say the 50s. It has the later star crimp from the earlier roll crimp. Wards Collectibles sells tons of collectible boxes. If you go to their website you will see the categories. You can search remington shotgun and I bet they have a similar one. Good Luck

Remington Keene

I have an unusual Keene. 20” barrel shotgun butt and button magazine. Excellent condition, excellent bore. I just discovered the serial number is apparently on the bottom of the bolt. I will check tomorrow. 45-70 caliber. I have not been able to find an image similar to mine. Any thoughts.

Re: Rolling Block Shotgun?

1.315 so a #1 frame. It is a round top but the receiver bridge has a factory groove on the top for sighting with the bead. A three digit serial #380.

Rolling Block Shotgun?

I have the the Rolling Block book by Marcot and Lewis but I didn't find much on the Rolling Block Shotgun. I have a 20 gauge with a 30" barrel. Which size frame were they made on and what time frame. Were they pre 1899.

Re: 121 Smooth Bore

Thanks. The information I found was from The Hitory of Remington Firearms by Roy Marcot on page 74. It indicates that skeetrap models have a 25" barrel which this one does.

121 Smooth Bore

This one is very specific. Remington made a variety of 121s in smooth bore. From what I could flind there were five variations from smooth bore, routledge bore and skeettrap bore. I can't seem to find specific information. The one in question is marked "smooth bore" and has a 25" barr...
