Re: recipe for 25 REM
No sweat Jake! My notes indicate that 25.5 grs. of IMR-4895 will replicate that 2,130 fps velocity (in my rifle) and produces three-shot groups ranging from 2 3/8" to 2 7/8" at 100 yds.

Re: recipe for 25 REM
Jake,
My old stand-by is to duplicate the original 117 gr. loading with the Hornady RN, which is still in production. Period velocity was around 2,130 fps. IMR-4895 is exceptionally accurate in my rifle, followed by IMR-3031. I have used this combination to take a number of bucks over the years. It ...

Re: .32 Remington caliber bullet question
Gunhawk,
I load for and hunt with all four of the Remington calibers, and for the .32 Rem. I use 0.321" bullets designed for the .32 Winchester Special. In the .32 Rem. specifically, I use the Speer design as it is slightly more streamlined, and feeds 100% from the Model 8/81 box magazine. I ...

Re: Rem. 14R TNS dating...
Once again Jim, thank you for the quick and thorough reply.
This particular carbine has the TNS cut-out, TNS bolt, and primary safety on the trigger guard. The serial number is located on the lower receiver, inside of the upper receiver, and top of the bolt.

Rem. 14R TNS dating...
Hi guys, I'm looking for a little more information, both on my carbine specifically, and the thumbnail safety feature. I own a Model 14R in 25 Rem. with the TNS. It has no barrel code, no Model 14 markings, etc. The serial number is in the 69,000 range. What year was this one manufactured, and what ...

Remington Model 14 production numbers...
Hi guys, is there a source (whether someone on here with personal insight, or perhaps a book) detailing production numbers over the years of the Model 14 in its various forms (carbine/rifle, thumbnail safety, etc.) and calibers? I'd like to get a better idea of rarity of the possible various ...

Correct M1902 7mm RB sling...
The history on these rifles seems a bit vague, so does anyone know what the correct or appropriate sling might be?
Someone could probably clear up the history of these guns, but it seems that this model (1902 w/last patent date 1901) was made from 1902 up until WWI, and basically kept on inventory ...

Model 14 sight evolution...
For those who know, I am trying to get a sense of what sights the Model 14 had throughout its production history. I am aware of the wheel sight and had always assumed that rifles without had their sights replaced. However, it appears as though Remington perhaps transitioned to the leaf rear while ...
