I have Model 31 #2230 which I thought was pretty early, until I read this post.

Re: Model 16 22 autoloading Date of manufacture

Question is answered. According to Remington Arms Model 16 #14160 was manufactured in 1920.( no Barrel Code)The RP was the inspectors Proof mark. I was able to find a couple boxes of Remington 22 Automatic ammo also. It is oh so close to the Winchester 22 Self loading for the model 1903, but not the...

Model 16 22 autoloading Date of manufacture

I just picked up Model 16 S/N 14160. This rifle has rounded out my early Autoloading and Selfloading collection very good. A question is about its date of manufacture. There is not a Barrel code present on the barrel.' however there is RP stamped on the bottom of the receiver under the serial number...

Re: Remington model1100 special field 12 Ga. But plate Quest

The Above topic/subject should read butt plate  . Thanks for the reply the hard butt plate is as you say thicker then my other M1100 shotguns. Just it has the late 1800-1905 logo. Just want to verify it is as it should be. These are very neat shotguns I've owned the 870 special for sometime no...

Remington model1100 special field 12 Ga. But plate Question

Does anyone have a picture or know the correct Butt plate for a 1984 M1100 special field 12ga? I know some came with a factory Butt pad, but I have just found one at a local shop with a butt plate with the early pre UMC , Remington arms type similar to the style found on my 1900 and 1894 doubles.

Re: pre model 11 autoloading shotgun serial number help

The patent stampings on both guns are of the top of the barrel. None on the left side of the receiver on 17XXX. Both do have the smaller carrier button. I have a 1915 Model 11D 182XXX with the larger one,
though quite fancy.
