Wrong people

Shouldn't you be mad at the guy that sold it to you? Who knows what he did to it?

Plus, you could ask HIM to send it back to the factory for repair if he's the one that bought it new.

54 Model 760 finish?

What did Remington use as a stock finish in the early 50s?

Model 760 schematic

I'm trying to find a schematic for a 1954 model 760 Remington. I've located one for the later models but not for that particular year. The forearm is a bit different in the earlier models. Has anyone seen one of them anywhere in the web?

I'll sat thanks as well Rem because next summer I plann to take mine apart to have the stock refinished and obviously I would have gone nutty. It's a 1954. Now, I'll just save your instructions.

Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks to whoever it was that put the chart in here showing what year the rifles were made. I bought my 760 second hand in 1961 and I've always been curious of its age. Turns out is made in Sept of 1954. And I guess Remington did a good job because you can still drive tacks with i...

Buy Snap Caps. It is much cheaper.

I will guarantee you that Dan is correct. A nephew borrowed my 760 years ago and it took him no time at all to break the firing pin. They are expensive to get replaced by the way...... and it was the last time I ever loaned a rifle out. You can buy "Snap Caps" for most any caliber that wil...
