Re: Remington 660 Trigger Recall

My shooting buddy sent his 600 in for the recall. The result was even worse than yours. When it came back it had a considerably larger "hole" and they didn't even sand the area they hogged out, much less put a finish coat of whatever on it. It had raw wood where they hogged it out. The tri...

R51 gone for good?

Ok, so, the Remington site has scrubbed almost all references to the R51. I guess that means the R51 is no more. What is Remington telling you guys that sent in your guns for a replacement? Are they really completely giving up on the R51?

Re: Can someone explain the different magazine options 700 A

Hi Matt, If you look at an ADL from the bottom, what you will see is a trigger guard that only covers the trigger. There is no hinged floor plate or removable magazine, just stock wood in front of the trigger guard. This is called a blind magazine and can only be emptied by cycling the action. On a ...

R51

What's the news on the new R51? Last I heard Remington recalled them. Has anyone heard anything about restarting production? Or have they just scraped the whole idea?

Re: remington model 51 nickel

I don't believe the factory ever made a Remington model 51 in nickel. The Blue Book Of Gun Values states a "black finish" as the only option.

Re: Remington 51 380 Holster

I've seen a lot of 51's that have been reblued over the years and I have to say that most of them don't have the beautiful finish that the original finish was. The ones I've seen that were cold blued looked downright bad. I love these old pistols (I have 2 380's and a 32) and I would bring it to a v...

Re: Remington 51 380 Holster

I use an Uncle Mikes "pancake" holster for my 51. It works great. I can ware it left or right handed or in the small of my back because the "straps" are Velcroed to the sides and I can switch it for either side usage and the straps adjusts up or down to fit almost any pistol. I'v...
