my 721 3006 with the serial # in the left receiver rail, with a little higher # than yours does not have the rear receiver tapped and I think it may have been reblued.

two 722,s and a 725 added this year. 722 in .257 roberts# 421657 X-E, no rear sight boss. 722 in .308 win# 361621 K-B rear sight boss. 725 in 3006 #700182 X-D, no rear sight boss. 257 roberts and .308 win are in very good condition with ex bores, the 725 is good with a ex bore but has been hunted . ...

i have and use the one piece base with the vulture 10x unertl scope, my base is marked 722-700sa-40xsa. i have had it a long time,i got it at a gun show. when ever i sold a rifle i kept the base. eastbank.

hi, i own a rem 14 1/2 saddle ring thumb safety with the extra safety in the trigger guard in 44-40. i shoot it and realy like it. eastbank.

i have checked the rifle and it is a 580 SB and not a 581(my bad). i have a 581 lefthand .22 and the actions are the same. eastbank.
