Remington / Hepburn # 3 & C.C. Johnson

:?: I'm looking for info on a rifle I have been asked to evaluate and appraise . The rifle is a Remington / Hepburn # 3 Grade B Match . I was pretty much ignorant on these things a week ago , but am gaining a little knowledge a piece at a time . What I do know about it is , It's a #3 B Match , built...

Re: Grandfather gave me his 760 Gamemaster...a few questions

I have one identical to your's , (B) S/N prefix and all . Except mine has been rechambered to .358 Win. . They have 1 in 12 twist which is absolutely perfect for this conversion .

Re: Remington 30S 375H&H Custom?

That is one of the , if not the , sturdiest action ever built . It's the only action that could withstand the .358 BOS . (.378 Wetherby necked down to .358) The key to it's strength is it's square barrel and receiver threads !

760C in .280 Rem.

I have procured a 760C in .280 Rem. and I am curious as to how many were manufactured . This thing is mint , if I had the box I think I could call it new , it appears to be unfired . The lady I got it from bought it new as a Christmas gift to her husband , who has since passed on . She didn't seem t...

Mod. 25 , 25-20

There is a model 25 over on GunBroker , that is being sold as a Parts gun or fixer upper . Apparently it doesn't lift the shell high enough for the bolt to feed the round into the chamber . The thing looks to be in pretty good shape otherwise . I'm sure our Jim could probably make the required repai...

Re: Magazine for Model 760 in .300 savage?

I've checked all 4 of my emails , didn't find anything from you . I only know what I've learned from 30 years of working on these guns . PM me and I'll send an email address .

Re: Magazine for Model 760 in .300 savage?

The .300 Savage 760 Magazine is unique , in that it has fillers front and rear as does the .35 Rem. magazine . Original .300 Savage mags are hard to find , but from what I hear , they are the only ones that work reliably ! I have a .300 760 with original mag . Never tried any others in it . If you w...

Re: Remington700 .243

Welcome to the forums Longshot2050 . B&C should have all that info for you . Check their site and look for a tech line to call . It's barrel contour that is the deciding factor usually . If your barrel is not a Mag. or Varmint contour , a standard contour would fit , action length being correct ...
