Like what I see so far. Is there an easy way for you to automatically advise members whenever you make a change?

Re: Remington Repeating Shotgun/Model 10

Hello Researcher, Just spotted your comments on the two charts for the Model 10 and the variation in the numbering sequence. With both charts generated by the Remington factory at lion, I have to give the same value to both. The hand written ledger is reported to be a record of production quantities...

Re: Information Requested on BEALS Patent Rem 1858 36 Calibe

Take a close look at the photos in the listing. Photo # 12 and 13 clearly show that this is not one of the single wing Beals Navy revolvers. With the double wing cylinder pin, and the frame cut both sides to fit it, but with the serial number being two digit, something just doesn't add up. Was the r...

Re: Model 10 Pump action Shotgun Manuafacture Date

In lieu of starting a full research project, maybe Remington Customer Service could answer that one for you. I believe the current legal name is Remington Arms Company, LLC and has been that way since at least 2007, probably much longer. If one wanted to spend the time, an internet search for lawsui...

Re: I've got to complain to someone!!

Dave, Just got finished reading your post and then re-reading the RemShots column you referred to. You are 100% correct and I thank you for bringing it to our attention. The first issue, concerning the safety location is totally confusing and I can only attribute that to responding from memory, rath...

Re: Model 12C Date of Manufacture

LT

Accordiong to the research compiled in "REMINGTON .22 Rimfire Rifles"
by John Gydé and Roy Marcot, your rifle would have been manufactured in 1913. In that year, Remington produced 71,805 Model 12 rifles in total, with the final serial number being 238343.

Re: 1858 New Model identification questions

Magnification of your photo reveals that the serial number is 86412. That serial number falls in the range of the July 1864 deliveries of 5000 revolvers S/N 83210 through 89260 against the Ordnance Department contract of Nov. 21, 1863. While E. Remington documentation from this time period no longer...

Re: 1875 info??

Here's a photo of the page listing the .44 Remington. Note that example 4 is the .44 Colt. George has it pegged with the three calibers the 75 is chambered for, but I am working on a project to investigate the 450 Boxer and 455 Webley for the London market. I'd like to see a photo of the cylinder in...
