Re: Remington Hepburn
I have this one in the Classifieds. I'm more of a rolling block guy.

Re: Remington Hepburn
Recently picked up this No 3 Hepburn. It is a .40-90. It left the factory as a shorter case and the caliber is overstamped. What is really neat is that it has BROWNING BROS OGDEN UT stamped on top barrel flat. Not sure if they were the retailers or did the conversion.

L.H. Hagen Fullstock Rolling Block Sporting Rifle
Not likely to see another. This is a very rare rifle in the US. It is a fullstocked rolling block sporting rifle built or marketed by L.H. Hagen of Christiania [Oslo], Norway. Similar to Husqvarna No. 4 rifles, these are a bit nicer. Chambered in 12.7x44R, cases can be easily fabricated from .50 ...

1867 Rolling Block Navy Pistol
This is a pretty typical example of a Remington Model 1867 rolling block pistol in .50 CF pistol cartridge. Like most examples, this one has bright metal. Probably cleaned at some time. No active rust. All markings are sharp. Stocks are in very good condition, with some small bumps and bruises. No ...

Remington Hepburn No 3 in .40-90
This is a very good example of the Remington Hepburn No. 3 sporting rifle in .40-90. It possibly left the factory as a .40-70, as the caliber is overstamped .40 3 1/4. It was shipped to BROWNING BROS OGDEN UT, as indicated on top barrel flat. The single line Remington address indicates an 1880-88 ...

Model 1879 Lee Arms Magazine Rifle Project
This is one of the early Lee Arms Model 1879 .45-70 magazine rifles built for the US Navy. Later models made by Remington as the Remington-Lee. This rifle is missing its bolt. Perhaps a butchered rifle can be found as a donor. The stock is in very good condition. Missing rear sight, middle barrel ...

Lee Arms Model 1879
I picked this 1879 Lee Arms magazine rifle up in an online auction. Photos were bad, but price was good and description made me take a shot. Upon arrival, I discovered that it had a Frankenstein bolt poorly fashioned from a .303 Enfield. Chucked it in the trash. Next, the magazine, which are rare ...

Rear Sight for NYS Rolling Block Carbine
Looking for photos to help me replicate sight parts for this NYS rolling block carbine. In Layman's book it is referred to as a Dexter sight. Carbines issued to Artillery and Signal corps.

Gove Conversion Rifle
I just purchased a Gemmer-style rolling block with a Gove conversion to underlever. Have not received rifle yet, but am pretty sure it is not original. Any idea who might have done the work? Seller did not know.

Re: Remington's Children
I have shot all except the ESKILSTUNA 20 gauge and the 10.25x69R. Sold former and need an expander die for latter. I also sold the Number 27.

These were also made in .45-70 for other state militias, IIRC.

Top is a 20 gauge smoothbore, formally a 10.15x60 Jarmann by Hagen in Christiania (Oslo). Middle is a 20 gauge rifle marked ESKILSTUNA. Bottom is a Husqvarna Number 33 in 9.5x47R.

Remington's Children
Just a little bored today, so I thought I would post some photos of my collection of European commercial rolling blocks.
Top is a Husqvarna Number 27 in 500/450 BPE. The Middle is a Husqvarna Number 4 in 20 gauge rifle. And bottom is a Number 1 in 12.7x44R.
Will post others, as only three photos ...
