Remington Store Poster
I have the chance to buy this Remington/UMC store poster. It has the label on the back, dating it to 1924. My question is, has the bottom been cut off? I can't find this in any of my books and wonder why it doesn't have any Remington copy on it. Would it have had the word Remington across the bottom...

Re: 1894 BE Restoration
I have on plans to resell it, only shoot it and enjoy it. If I was going to resell it, I would have put it on Gunbroker and I'm sure I would have made a small profit.
Thanks,
Gordon

Re: 16 ga 1889 info for Rem RB
Paul,
I also have a 10ga 1879 with Damascus barrels. I have never shot it, but may try some black powder loads this fall.
Thanks,
Gordon

Re: 16 ga 1889 info for Rem RB
Thanks Charles,
I know this question has been beat to death, but what limitations would you use when shooting this gun with the Decarbonized Steel barrels? I was thinking of Polywad Vintagers or Doublewides. Is the Decarbonized Steel considered to be softer than the Damascus of a grade 2?

Re: 1894 BE Restoration
Thanks, 2 shooter. The gun appears to be structurally OK, but the finish is a wreck. No finish on the case hardening, the checkering is completely worn off the stock and forend and I think I see a crack in the back of the buttstock. However, the ejectors work, it hasn't been messed with or shortened...

Re: 1894 BE Restoration
Well, I guess no one had any thoughts to share, so I will let you know what I decided to do. The barrels have been sent to Dale Edmonds and when they are finished, Buck Hamlin will re case the frame, etc. and refinish and re cut the checkering.

1894 BE Restoration
I have a 1894 BE 12 ga with Damascus barrels that I want to have restored. Barrels redone, case redone and stock refinished and checkering recut. The gun is straight but well used. They must have used sand paper gloves in 1899 to wear the checkering down so much. I have two questions: 1. Would the b...

Re: 1879 Lifter Grade?
Thanks Jay,
I boought it some years ago at a gun show and have enjoyed it ever since. I recently bought some Black Powder/Bismuth shells to shoot out of a Syracuse LC Smith Quality 2 at ducks this fall. I may try the Remington as well.

1879 Lifter Grade?
Hello, Below are pics of my 10 ga. 1879 Lifter Gun. It has 30" Damascus barrels, pistol grip stock and weighs 8.5 lbs. I would appreciate your thoughts as to what grade gun this is. This gun is plain, with no engraving but has Damascus barrels and the grip and forend are checkered. In Charles S...
