Re: Model 1100 20-LT Skeet

They stopped using the 'LT' labelling, but the 20 gauge 1100s thru 2020 use the same barrels, so yes you can get a RemChoke barrel.
LW barrels are unique. Getting choke tubes installed in your barrel would likely be a lot cheaper option in these times.

Why not install choke tubes ? The best of all worlds.

Re: Trigger Plate Pin Detent Springs: 11-87

Indeed times have changed. I once sighted in my .30-06 on the picnic table five steps from the back door. Now there are houses everywhere filled with ex-city dwellers who call 911 if they hear a bang.

Re: Trigger Plate Pin Detent Springs: 11-87

1100s had two D springs for decades. I don't remember when the 11-87 dropped one and indeed the new 1100s might have one as well, I just don't remember. You only need one unless you are so ham handed you can't get it in the gun assembled without two.

Re: 11-87 Premier Questions

You have a rifle sighted deer barrel. It does not have the gas bleed off system of regular 11-87 barrels, but unless someone put an 1100 barrel on it, it should have the same shape barrel gas ring so the fore arm will fit properly. I don't see where they made a Premier model deer gun, but they did c...

Re: 32 30” Standard Grade

The stock that is on it has been altered so collector value would not be impacted by another stock, assuming equal quality of wood, fit, etc. I would get it restocked if it were me.

Re: Pre-68 Remington 1100 date

The barrel is May 1965, and that appears to be suitable for the receiver. I have a '63 with the serial #50***V.

According to the manual and the parts list, that is correct.

Re: Ridiculous Wood

Too long ago to remember the details now, but I believe there was a shortage of walnut that led to a lot of the mahogany usage on production guns in addition to the "lightweight" guns advertised with the mahogany.

Re: 870TB LOP?

The factory stock specs on an 870TB in the 1970s, with recoil pad, were 14-3/8" LOP, 1-1/2" DAC, and 1-7/8" DAH.

Re: 1100 versus 11-87

Agree with you about the older 1100s. All I have left now are a 1963 12 gauge - bought new in '63, a 1966 12 Magnum, and a 1978 LT 20 Magnum. I still have about 10 extra barrels and three extra stock sets. Over time I guess I have owned well over 20 1100s and 11-87s in every gauge but 16 and .410. I...

Re: Designer of the 1100 & The Designer of the 11-87

Interesting point. Perhaps due to the fact that the 11-87 is only a minor - although significant - modification of the 1100.

Re: Rare Remington 1100 Prototype? Need help please

Returning to the original question, the 1982 Atlantic model was the only 1100 they ever cataloged with a 32" barrel.
There are a slew of "limited edition" models out there. DU models, the one of 3000 models, the Anniversary Models, etc., etc.
