25 Remington brass available at Grafs

I just noticed that newly manufactured 25 Remington brass, with a GRAF headstamp is available at Grafs. I haven't tried it and don't know if it is any good. But I can say that I have dealt with Grafs many times over the years and have never been disappointed. https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/cat...

Re: Remington 121 original finish?????

Nice work. That really looks good.

I have to ask...is the scope functional like that? It seems to be set back a long ways.

Re: Remington 121 original finish?????

I think you will find that amber Bulls Eye shellac applied with an air brush gives an authentic "looking" finish.

Re: Model 14 problem

The best way that I know of to clear a stuck live round from the chamber of almost any action design is to thread the barrel off the action. Any other way is quite dangerous. Its been a few years since I have removed the barrel from a Mo 14. I dont recall if the barrel will unthread with the action ...

Re: Remington 25/25A

FWIW, I have a couple of 25s that have been cut so that the barrel and magazine are the same length. They are very handy in that configuration. If forced to sell my rifles, the full length rifles would go first. But then I am a shooter first and a collector second.

Re: Putting a scope on a 141

Hi Dale, I dont have a clean answer for you, but I will share what I do know. The 14 and 141 did not come from the factory drilled and tapped for a scope. If you D/T, you will be impacting the collector value of the rifle, if that matters to you. I have some 14/141s that have been aftermarket D/T fo...

Re: Got one with the 25 Remington!

Wow. Looks like I read your post a bit too fast. Don’t have time to do much forum posting these days, but did want to respond to your post. The terrain at my place is a mixture of fields, hills and timber. The deer bed under cover, move along the edges of timber and feed in the fields. I have had my...

Re: Got one with the 25 Remington!

Hey thats great. I sure would like to know how you stalk to within 20yds of a deer. I can only get to within 200yds of a deer by holding still. And you are 97 years old???!!! Is that a typo? I'll be lucky to be stalking anything at 97. At any rate, your story just goes to show that a hunter with the...

Re: Parts kit for Model 141

The only parts I have needed for the ones I use are the cartridge stop and the action bar cover screw. Not because of wear though. But rather because they fell out and were lost in the grass. Forearm screws are commonly missing on the ones I have bought. So others must be having trouble loosing thos...

Re: First blood for my 141

Good to hear someone else still uses these fine old rifles for deer hunting. I started out the season with a Mo 14 but had to switch because the deer werent offering shots within 200 yds.

Re: Remington 141 with pics--comments/suggestions?

The checkering looks very well done from what I can see in the pics. Although a true collector might turn his nose up at it, I would happily trade you original 141 wood for the checkered wood. Original 141s and hack jobs are a dime a dozen. A nicely checkered 141 is hard to find, even if it is not o...

Seating a bullet deeper will cause an increase in peak pressure. If you want to PM me the particulars of your load I'll give you an estimate of whether it is a problem or not.

Re: Reloading Question

I have decapped quite a few live primers in my day, and have had a few go off. It is loud enough to ring my ears. But no harm was done, other than needing to clean my shorts. Safety glasses and gloves are probably a good idea. I agree on the Lee factory crimp, but dont know that they make one for a ...
