Re: Remington 1100 Shotgun Serial Numbers - Meaning
Thanks to all for the help, but I was still confused since I recently purchased the gun in a box from a dealer. Due to the confusion re the serial number, I asked Remington. After two messages, Remington finally answered and reported, that my "...Model 1100 Sporting was produced in 2012."

Re: Remington 1100 Shotgun Serial Numbers - Meaning
I'm confused. The "K" at the end suggests it's a 20 gauge? At the end of your note you say, "Your 12 gauge, isn't." Isn't a 12 gauge? But, it's a 12 gauge - otherwise I've been squeezing a lot of 12 gauge shells into a 20 gauge chamber. Of course, that's not possible. Please expl...

Add-On Ribs for Remington 1100
Has anyone added one of those high ribs onto the Remington 1100 (e.g., http://addarib.com) for trap shooting. The add-on rib supposedly help direct the shooter to point, rather than aim the SG at the clays. I was wondering whether the add-on is a good idea or just a flashy piece of fluff.

Re: Model 1100 - Revision with pictures of disassembly
This may have been filed in 2002, but as a recent purchaser of this firearm in June 2013, this information is invaluable. Administrators of RSA - thank you for keeping this post available.

Chuck D - no I was not aware of that. Thanks for the education. That's what's so good about forums. People know things and pass that knowlege on.

Pistol v. Revolver
Most entries on this sight seem geared for rifles, shotguns and pistols, but not revolvers. Does the sight include revolvers?
