Not sure what numbers you posted for your tab, but the guard tab on this gun has no numbers. Top of the barrel is stamped:

Removed the trigger guard and found no serial number stamped on the frame or guard. Not sure what the tab is that you reference.

Trying to identify and age a Remington ball and cap revolver, 8" barrel that I got from my grandfather who traded for it many years ago. I have had it for ~60 years. No telling how long he had it. Numbers on the underside of the barrel is 102o23, D on the left side of barrel, P and C on the cylinder ...
