Thank you Daniel, an interesting thought that never occured to me. The only problem I see with your theory is the 3434 where the serial number would normaly be and the early Remington stamping on top of the slide and the later 15 slide serrations as opposed to the earlier 9. I'm really stumped ...

There is no serial number, in the traditional sense. The left side of the frame is stamped 3434, no PA, no nothing else, thats it. The top of the slide is of the older Pedersen stampings. The slide has the ...
