Hello 8/81 fans -
I'm new to the forum and currently have one model 8 (approx 1911 based on serial number) and one 81 Grade E (May, 1940).
The 8 was my Grandfather's gun, then my father's, now mine and someday (God willing) my son's.
The 81 - I purchased from a friend of my father's when I was 12 ...
