Rem-Thoughts… RSA President Roy Marcot 2013

Dear RSA Members,

At the Annual Meeting in Las Vegas our
Elections Chairman announced that “yours truly”
was elected RSA President, George
McAllister elected RSA Vice President,
Chip Kloos was elected RSA
Director, and Dan Pozarek was
elected RSA Director. We said “good
bye” to outgoing RSA Director Bob
Pryor, who served our organization
so very well for many years.

RSA Secretary Bill Hansen
informed us that we had more than
fifty members and guests in attendence
at the January 19th meeting.
This was the most members ever at
an RSA Annual Meeting! The festivities
were accuntuated by the pizza and soft-drinks
donated by the Creamers… and enjoyed by everyone.

RSA Seminar Coordinator Chip Kloos announced
that the 17th Annual RSA Historical Seminar
would be held at Remington’s Ammo Plant in
Lonoke, Arkansas from August 28th to the 30th,
2013. This will be our third trip to the ammo plant,
and the prior seminars were held there in 1995 and
2001. Chip reminds us that total attendence must be
limited to fifty persons – the maximum capacity of
the plant conference room – so register early.

Mike Strietbeck and Ed Hull talked obout the
success they’ve had with the RSA Mini-Meetings they
hold in Southern California once a
quarter. Most of the Saturday meetings
are hosted at Carol Watson’s
Orange Coast Auctions, who give
the guys a terrific bar-b-que following
the RSA meeting.

The guys encourage other RSA
members throughout the country
to follow their lead and initiate a
mini-meeting. You can start with
a breakfast or lunch with only two
or three men interested in “things
Remington.” By the way, the meeting
in Southern California now
attracts more than a dozen attendees every quarter!

Bill Hansen announced that our membership
has risen to more than 625 RSAers… the most that
we’ve ever had. [Leon would be proud!]

We are looking forward to terrific RSA activities
in 2013. We hope that you’ll be a part of it!

All my best,
