Can someone help me? I do not know much about guns, but I came across an old Remington Rifle marked "REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, ILION, NEW YORK". It has the date December 24th, 1874. Also marked on the gun "VERCITO DE GUATEMALA". This gun is in excellent shape, and I am going to list it on Ebay once I find some more info on it. Can anyone help me gather some detailed info on this gun? If I at least had the model name, I would be happy. If you can help me, please call me at (248)808-3935.

I think you have a rolling block rifle or crbine sold to Guatamala, but it is difficult to tell with so little information about the gun.
