I'm interested in purchasing a remington Rolling Block with serial number of 10677 on the side of upper and lower rear tang. Can anyone tell me the approximate year of manufacture of rifles in this range.

I think we need more information such as type (military or civilian), caliber, tang/receiver markings, etc. Photos or a detailed description would be useful, too.

The receiver is on a refurbished rifle with new barrel and stocks. The tang reads: "Remington and Sons Illion NY USA. Pat May 1864, May 7th, June 11th, Nov 12th 1872, Dec 31st, Sept 9th 1873, Jan 12th, March 16th 1874.
It looks to be a #1 receiver with a rotary ejection setup which I understand to be a later model. Camera wont take clear enough pictures, thats all I know. Thanks again.
