I have a semi auto Remington 12 ga shot gun s/n 79595 that I am told is circa 1900's. The serial number is on the action just before the magazine. Just wondering if anyone knows model info and a ball park of price range. This belongs to a friend that is interested in selling. Much appreciated.

Hard to read whether it's 1900 or 1800. Would they have made a semi auto that early?

Remington Autoloading Gun or Model 11
Designed by the famous John M. Browning, "The Remington Autoloading Gun" was intorduced in the 1906 Remington Arms Co. catalogue.
