Remington New model .36 Police question

Post by 70Gtvert »

Hello all, my first post here. Looking for some help with a percussion 5 shot .36 Police. Is anyone aware of any replacement nipples that would fit this? The ones on it are worn thin, so any powder put in without a cap on would flow right back out, and are battered down enough that it is hit or miss as to if the cap will even fire. This one has seen better cosmetic days but otherwise it functions well, good timing and lockup. It has a single #, a 3 under the barrel and on the left side of frame under the grip it is stamped with the # 503. Any interesting history on this model would be appreciated too. Thanks in advance.
