Pictures of 141/14 grades and stock options

Post by 333_okh »

Can you all post pictures of the different grades and stock options. I have a C grade model 8 and now want a similar type 141/14 in 30 rem to go with it.

Is this a 14 or a 141 ? With the solid case in the side I thought 14. Since the buttstock is Monte Carlo I assume it was restocked.

Looks like a Model 14 to me. It should have the serial number on the bottom of the receiver with the letter "C" on top of the number. You are right about the restocking.

Is it just me, or does the front sight ramp look like a 141?
The receiver looks like a model 14 (no stampings on the side and solid filler plug)

Looks fairly well used and is drilled and tapped for a scope (not original)

Also, the "C" refered to above is a model, not a grade. The model 14 was a C model originally, so all serial #'s started with C. The model 141 is just a 141.

Seller not disclosing info = not good to me. Buyer Beware.

Agreed. I am curious in a 14/141 in 30 Rem for deer hunting in the less than 200 yard range. I want to make it a custom, without using a gun that will loose its heritage.

It looks like quite a rifle. What did you decide to do about it?
