The Sportsman 20ga Date of Manufacture

Hello,

What is the year that my Model 11 The Sportsman 20ga was manufactured please?

The serial number on the right side of the receiver is S5249. It is a 3-shot semiautomatic with three mallards roll stamped on the left side of the receiver, and three pheasants roll stamped on the right side.

The only marks on the barrel are:
An encircled REP and an anchor on the right.

Remington Arms, Ilion, N.Y. and 3 Browning patent numbers on top.

20 GA FULL DC and a symbol on the right.

If the DC is located on the left side of the barrel just before the receiver then that is your date code, which is D for September and C for 1934
