Hello, i have what i think is an old model 10 from my grandfather. I haven't been able to find any kind of code on top to signify if it was a 10 A or etc... but the right side of the barrel has a "RP", and the left side just says "FULL" with the serial number of U 28942. Anyone on here that can get me some more info about the shotgun? Thank you.

Your gun is a Remington Repeating Shotgun, also known as Model 1908. The barrel should be marked Remington Arms Co.
In 1911, Marcellus Hartley Dodge combined his arms and ammunition companies as Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. At that time they began calling this John D. Pedersen designed gun the Model 10.
