Model 95 caliber

Post by Derringer95 »

I've heard and seen on sites (wiki for one) that the Remington Model 95 double derringer was "produced in various calibers". However, I know I read somewhere that the Model 95 was "produced only" in .41 rimfire from 1866 through 1935. I've loved the 95 since I was 5 years old, but never really knew much about it except for its popularity and its caliber. Is there a definitive answer? Was the 95 produced in "various" calibers or in just the .41 rimfire? Thanks.

That's what I thought. There are a lot of people who think it was made in other calibers but don't realize those are clones. Thanks for the clarification. If anyone is a member or at least signed up to wikipedia their "Derringer" article says "various calibers with .41 rimfire the most popular". I'm not signed up for wiki and really don't feel like signing up for another website. So, if you have access and would make the correction or tell their people, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
