Your gun was made in August 1930 (the WY date code). That was the first year for the 20 gage. They made 31,965 that first year. These are great old guns designed by John Browning. Take it out and shoot it.

I recently acquired a Remington Model 11 20 gauge, date code: Aug. 1948 (WTT), serial # 10977xx. This date and serial # appears to be later and higher than Remington's official numbers (1947 and 107500).
Any thoughts or ideas?
It appears to be in excellent mechanical condition with the usual dings and nicks, bluing, I would guess about 75-80%. The fiber cushion appears to be in good shape.
