I also placed a similar posting on the introductions page but it seems more appropriate here..
I have the chance of buying a Remington Rolling Block pistol-shotgun "Bankguard Model" in 20 gauge. The pistol-shotgun has a attached stock which cannot be removed, effectively making it a short shotgun.
I know that these shotguns were built in the 1920's by using existing rolling block actions which had been imported. I was wondering what actions were used when they made these shotguns. What model action did they use and how can I tell which model rolling block action it is? Are they suitable for blackpowder only or also for nitro powder?
Thanks for any information you may have.
Sincerely yours,
the Hopster
