Remington 722 Replacement Barrel

Who makes a replacement barrel for a 722 with the original contour, bump and all? Thanks, Peter.

Draw a quality name brand barrel blank and have it fitted to your specs. Any good custom barrel fitter can copy an original. But will they do the bump and dovetail willingly?

No one presently makes one or likely ever will, I do see some come up on EB every now and then, course there not likely 100% new. Remington called the "bump" a barrel boss, it was to add more steel to have enough "meat" to cut the dovetail for the rear sight without endangering the integrity of the barrel from the pressures created when fired.
