Recoil Pad???

Post by Rafsob »

Anyone know where you can find a recoil pad for an early model 760? The gun was made in 1960 and is not a monte carlo stock, but a straight back style. The metal butt plate is digging into my shoulder.

I have a bad shoulder and could use one.

Thanks

Your gun was probably made in the beginning of 1863. We have no record of who was assigned the gun. Jay Huber RSA

Recoil pad

I gave you the wrong answer above. I was answering another inquiry. As to a recoil pad for your 760 I suggest you go to a local gunsmith and see what he can provide. If you don't want to change the originality of the gun I suggest a slip on pad. They have some new ones out that have a gel in them and really cut the recoil. I use them myself since they put my pacemaker on my right shoulder. Regards Jay Huber RSA

Thanks for the response Jay. I think the slip on is the way to go. I really don't want to change the originality of this fine gun.
