Hello, I am looking for information about remington 12cs. Does anyone know where I can get a reference or does anyone know what the alpha number 641242 means?

That should be the serial number, assigned by the factory at time of manufacture. Just to verify, the firearm can be restored/refinished but the serial number should not be altered.
The CS version should be chambered for the .22 Remington Special cartridge. This is not the same as the Long Rifle cartridge, but it is the same as the .22 WRF, also known as .22 Winchester RimFire. The WRF is not the same as the WRFM. If you are intending to shoot this rifle you need to take into account ammo availability, WRF is scarce.

It's 1925 it will be date coded on the barrel as well.
