REM. M1883 (?) I THINK, NEEDS COMPLETE FOREND, WOOD & METAL

Post by ARTISAN+ »

Hi all,

I just became a member due to a interesting ole Remington side by side a customer brought in. The only issue is that it does not have a forend, metal or wood. its got the original butt plate, both hammers & triggers all work I just need a complete forend for this twisted steel ole side by side...

The serial number puts it as a 1883 even though the external hammers resemble the 1889?

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Thank you all for your time.

First, what is the company name on the gun? E. Remington & Sons? Remington Arms Co.?

Some pictures would help to know what you really have.
