I am in need of a butt stock and forearm for my 760. I ordered some off of ebay and the forearm wood is different for some reason. Maybe later model gun. Mine is the 150th anniversary 760 that supposedly had some kind of special wood on it or something. I just want some wood that I can put on it and go. A little cleaning if needed will not be a problem. I am not comfortable enough to do woodwork to have to custom fit or anything like that.
Can y'all help and point me in the right direction.

Re: old model 760
Ken,
Forends from 1952-1967 should fit, the ones without the black tip. The correct one for your gun has the pressed checkering pattern (1964-1967). They are available on Ebay from time to time.
