It's S/N C458XX - what year was it produced?

The rear sight does not look original (it's a Marbles). Should it have the "Thumbwheel" rear sight?

Andy, the receiver of your rifle was made in the 1914-1915 time frame. If your gun has a DCP proof mark, then it was produced in the same time frame. Yes, it should have a wheel sight, a number 3.
