removing the stock on a model 31

I removed the through bolt but the stock only comes back about a 1/2 inch. Does the trigger have to come off first ? If so, how is it done ? Thanks for any help. Paul

It's a light weight model with the trigger assembly extended be on the receiver.

Well, over on another forum it was suggested I try u-tube. All I did was put in " stock removal model 31" and bingo, there was a guy doing just that.
