New user, but have been reading the boards for several years. My question is does anyone have a guess, how many model 31's of the 1931 series were made? I know this was the worst years of the depression and the 16 and 20 gauges started in 1933 and shared the same serial numbers range. So how rare are 16 and 20 gauges from this series? The later series seem fairly abundant given that the total production was less than 200 thousand for all gauges.
My 20 ga made October 1933 by barrel code, EB, matching serial numbers, plain barrel, 28", factory stamped cyl. It has the cut checkering, and seems in really good shape. My question is how rare is the 20 ga cyl choke gun, since it was made for approximately 5 years in this configuration? Or by looking only about one year as a first series.
Thanks
