I recently acquired a 10 ga Rem '89 and can't seem to find any technical info about it. In particular, I was wondering if the extractor is designed to only function with the hammers cocked. That is how mine functions. I was also curious about the purpose ot the part listed as the bolt stop. So far the only info I've found has been in a reprint of the 1902 Remington Catalogue with a nice parts breakdown of the '89. Any info would be greatly appreciated. The gun functions well and I have alot of fun shooting black powder loads through it for fun. Thanks, Greg
