old double barrel ID

I have a old double barrel remington shotgun, opens strange. you have to push up on the release lever to open the gun like the 1874 but does not have the sliding parts to set hammers back . an help apprecitaed

Hi, Well you could have a 1875,1876,1878, or 1879 you have to look at the style of hammers and the ga.and barrel extension,forend release in the case of the 1878 and 1879.We need more information.
