Can anyone identify what this is?

Hi!

I just found an old Remington when i cleaned out my grandfathers house, can anyone here identify it and maybe tell me if its Worth anyting? I belive it is a 20 gauge shotgun. I live in Sweden btw if that information is to any use.

You have a shotgun made from a Remington Model 1867 Swedish military rifle. It was common in the late 1800s and early 1900s in Sweden to "remanufacture" obsolete military rifles into sporting arms. This gun was originally one of 10,000 rifles actually made by Remington in the USA in 1867-8.

Aha! Thanks for the information! I guess it's not worth any major money then? My plan was to plug the barrel and use it as a decorative pice.
And that explains why the serial number is so low, 4 digits and starts with 37.

Can anyone help me identify one I just picked up as well. Its a 12G SXS. Serial number 99287. Any info is appreciated.
