I have a Remington 16 Ga. side-by-side with a Damascus barrel.
The serial number on the trigger guard is 350698.
Any information would be appreciated; ie date of manufacture, comments about appropriate ammunition, value, etc.
Cheers,
Dave
Shotgun ID Question
Re: Shotgun ID Question
Dave,
You have a Model 1900 Remington which left the factory in 1905. If it has automatic ejectors then the Grade would be called KED, if just an extractor gun then grade KD. The 1900's were made starting in 1900 ending 1911. It is a less expensive model than the 1894. If you check the chambers you'll find they are 2 9/16, not 2 3/4 inch. Condition of the gun is most important before any load is shot in it. A gunsmith who knows Damascus should be contacted for safety. What is the barrel length and without photos there is no way to approximate a value. You might check the "Blue Book of Gun Values".----Chas
