Production numbers for Model 600 and 660 Magnum carbines?

Post by 350magman »

I'm new to the forum and am wondering if some members can provide me with info. regarding the models 600 and 660 in .350 caliber. I have hunted with the .350 Rem. Mag. since 1974 when I picked up a Model 700 BDL in that caliber(wish I'd held onto it). Over the years I have had several Model 600s and 660s, along with a Model 700 Classic which I puchased in 1985 and still have. Currently, I also have a model 600 .350 which I picked up about five years ago, and a model 660 .350 which I recently acquired. Are there any production figures/breakdown for these models according to caliber? I thought I could recall seeing some numbers a few years ago, but could not locate any info. lately. My recollection is something like 13,000 model 600s in .350 and 5,000 model 660 in .350 caliber? Does anyone out there have any hard numbers direct from the Remington archives? It sure would be appreciated.

Remington 600, thanks so much for the production numbers on the 600 & 660 .350 carbines. They are less than I had thought. Actually, when you consider the total production of these guns, there was damn few made! In my opinion, they are a true 'sleeper'. Anyone who has hunted with them knows what I mean. Their whole design was so unique and advanced it was not appreciated back when they were made and really not even today, 40 years later.

Remington 600, what are the production numbers for .222 caliber? I have a Model 600 in that caliber.
